Creating an affordable, healthy food system for all in Chattanooga, TN

Our Mission
Our mission is to increase access to locally grown foods, provide nutrition education, and inspire engagement in regional agriculture.
Gaining Ground Grocery
Gaining Ground Grocery works with local farms and sourcing partners to stock local produce, eggs, milk, cheese, meat, and a wide variety of bulk items such as grains, dried fruit, and spices.
What We Do
Our Programs
Gaining Ground programs seek to provide nutrition education through food demonstrations and cooking classes. We also provide nutrition incentives for low-income shoppers to assist in purchasing fresh produce.
Local Food Resources
Connecting the community to healthy food resources is vitally important to us. We offer ways to connect with food and each other through resource sharing.
